Exhaust

Exhaust is one of the largest problems that I ran into. The 3.4 crossover tube comes out on the passenger side. Originally I thought that I could make this work with the 3.4l crossover coming out this side, but it sits hard against the torsion bar mount and it gets in the way of the starter and clutch slave cylinder.

You can solve the exhaust problem by using headers, or you can take the route that I did and have an exhaust shop make a crossover that comes out on the driver's side. To do this, you will probably need to take the engine to the exhaust shop to have them build it for you. I would reccomend having the shop install a flexable joint in the middle of the crossover tube to solve any alignment/installation issues.

You will also need 2 O2 sensors - one in front of the catalytic converter, and one behind it. The original 3V-ZE only had one. The exhaust shop should be able to supply the bungs that are welded into the exhaust tubing.
