Oil Pan and Dipstick Info

Use the original oil pan, pickup, and baffle from the 3.0. They will bolt right on with no modification as both blocks are nearly identical. There is no oil pan gasket as Toyota uses what they refer to as FIPG - or Form In Place Gasket.

You will need to drill out the zinc plug on center of block on passenger side and install a new dipstick and distick guide. You will need the dipstick guide and dipstick from a T100.

I had originally thought that I needed to drive out the zinc plug and ruined it trying to do so. I bought an already drilled one from the dealer for less than $5.

You will also need to get a plug to fill the hole left in the old dipstick location, and a tap to thread the original dipstick hole in the block. I used a 1/4" NPT plug for this because it was the right size, and because I had a tap handy.
