About Us

We became Victorian Bulldogge enthusiasts after buying our first male in 2001. This dog's name was Angus Maximus. Elizabeth showed him against the likes of MB's Brahma the Bull where he placed 2nd only to Brahma.

Elizabeth grew up in a family that bred Shepherds and has always wanted to breed some dogs of her own.

Not long after purchasing Angus we purchased a female so that we could breed OVBs. This female ended up having some health problems at a young age and was not fit to breed.

We lived with Angus for 8 years and occasionally thought of breeding him but never took the next step.

Since having our first (human ;-) child, Elizabeth is now a full-time mom and has time to pursue some things that she has always wanted to do. At the top of this list was breeding Olde Victorian Bulldogges!

After much research we purchased what we believed were the perfect females to breed with Angus. We wanted to compliment his strengths, and keep the breed consistent with the standards both physically and in temperament. Angus passed on recently, but his looks and disposition will be carried on in his son Black Angus.

Thus, Love-a-Bull Kennels was born! We are a small home-based kennel. All our dogs are kept in the house as part of our family and well socialized with children.

We do this for the love of the breed, and because we strive to have the BEST bulldogges out there!
